Hysterical - Dad's and Dad's-to-Be will Love it! |

My husband received this as a gift and he (and I) loved it! I was so glad to see a book from a guy's point of view and my husband completely identified with the author. We both laughed out loud many, many times while reading it. We highly recommend this book! There are so many books for women during this exciting time - so don't forget the guy! We now give this as a gift for our expecting "guy friends".

I smiled, I laughed and I want more!!! Hey, Michael Crider, thanks for sharing from a fathers perspective the trails and tribulations of the most important job a man can ever have! Your son, Ryan is one lucky boy! "A Guy's Guide to Surviving Pregnancy, Childbirth and the Frist Year of Fatherhood" is an automatic gift for any baby shower I attend.

Rolling on the floor |

This book is great! It's a refreshing change from the thousands of other overly serious pregnancy books that have you thinking there's no way you can get that baby out without screwing something up. It is not a serious how-to manual, but rather an honest and entertaining account of what most of us expectant fathers are going through. My apologies to all those sitting next to me on the plane when I read this book, my constant laughter must have been quite disturbing!

This is a wonderfully funny piece. Cerider's book shows the lighter
side of pregnancy and fatherhood and these days that is exactly what we
all need. The Guy's Guide is filled with humorous insights and personal
experiences that a lot of dads go through. VERY well written.
A couple of other reviews denounce the guy's guide as a book that
isn't a serious guide for fathers, but that is exactly the point of
this book! To talk about a subject so serious as parenting, but to show
that even though it can be a trying and gross time, it is also a
subject to be laughed at. After all, if we can't laugh, what else do we
have?
Terrific book, an easy read and a book that will give some insight into what men are actually thinking!

I was looking for a book for my husband who is just getting used to the idea of us getting pregnant. I didn't want a manual with all kinds of overwhelming facts and scary stories....I wanted something lighthearted that he could relate to and see that he isn't the only guy in the world not knowing what to do with the whole situation. This book was perfect. I read it and was laughing out loud which I never do. It was a fast easy read with a lot of heart.
